Visit Thornton where the sisters were born. Haworth, where father, Patrick Bronte was vicar and where the three sisters gained their inspiration for the masterpieces of literature. HARROGATE and KNARESBOROUGH
Harrogate the elegant spa town. Take the waters, shopping galore, enjoy the Valley Gardens and take tea at the hotel where Agatha Christie stayed. Knaresborough with its Norman Castle, boating on the River Nidd see the Petrifying Well where Mother Shipton lived or buy a bargain at the weekly market.
SELBY
On the American Heritage trail, see the Washington Family’s stars and stripes. Visit the Abbey where Henry 1st was born, a Norman masterpiece. Shop at the Monday market.
HULL and the COAST
