After proudly showing his home county to friends and family for over 30 years, Peter Holgate was persuaded to share his talents, and Yorkshire’s hidden gems with the rest of the world. But if he was going to do it – he wanted to do it his way. Having travelled extensively, Peter knew what it was like to go on a tour and find yourself at expensive tourist traps, spending time at sights you’d rather not see. His idea was custom made trips tailored to the individual. From a tour of all the churches in York, to a tour of all the pubs – what the customer wants, the customer gets. And the idea caught on. Native guide is now going from strength to strength. We’ve shown round visitors from all continents, and we’ve got plans for world domination.... (well, not quite).
